Our Mission
To provide quality dance classes that are educational, imaginative, disciplined yet fun. Creativity in learning
enhances many skills both physical and emotional and all types of dancers are welcome, regardless of aspiration, physique
or ability. Our experienced staff can well prepare dancers who have professional goals... but also understand that this
is recreational for most and they encourage each dancer to fullfill their own best,
DancEcounter pre-school age classes are grounded in ballet as we believe that ballet is the foundation to all
dance. This does not mean that young classes are dry and technical although they are learning French terminology and
positions at the barre. Much creativity and energy is used, often with the combination of tap! Who doesn't like
to hear their feet click in shiny patent shoes!! Tap also introduces this age to counting and rhythm inherrant in all
styles of dance. A wide array of music is also used from instrumental piano, classic children's songs, Disney and family
friendly pop music. Likewise, DancEncounter holds merit to all forms of dance styles and conducts class with traditional
warm-ups, floor exercises, center work and across the floor combinations and choreography at all levels.
